PE letter re: removal of non-load bearing wall
A parition wall (approx 18" wide) and a doorway between two rooms was removed in the basement of my condo unit in Fairlington Villages. The condo association requires a PE letter this wall and doorway were non-load bearing. This wall was obviously non-load bearing: it was parallel to the floor joists in the ceiling and was perpendicularly attached to the cinder block wall that is load bearing. This basement was unfinished when the unit was built in the 1940's; the partition walls were added during the condo conversion in the 1970's. Can you company provide this service? If so, what are fees. Your prompt response will be appreciated. Thank you.
